Hello dear ~{MS}~
Maybe you have already noticed, that we are publishing information about our new league at some boards.
At the beginning of each season we will invite new clans, who don't have to write an application
(this time there are 3 invited clans, because one clan left the league ahead of time).
You are one of those clans and we prefer you to take part in the league.
Please read our information first, before you decide to join or not.
Surely you can skip the part "How can our clan become part of the league?", because you got this invitation.
Please give us feedback as soon as possible, if you want to join the league.

1. What are the differences of TeeLeague?
2. What is the course of a match?
3. Who is doing the organisation?
4. What is the reward for a winner?
5. How can I support the league?
6. How can our clan become part of the league?
7. Closing words and summary!

What are the differences of TeeLeague?

Before you think „a league like every other“, I would like to ask you to read this text thoroughly to understand why we are convinced that this league actually has a chance to survive for quite some time.
On the one hand, we don’t only have one season and one winner but many seasons, one after another, so the league will not end! We want this to be a league that will last for a long time and even keeps running after a clan drops out or other problems occur.
And on the other hand, which makes us believe that this league will last longer than others, is the structure of organization. You will read more about this in other sections of this text.
These are the 2 main differences to other leagues, but once you join, you will see that there are many other differences and that everybody is able to put a lot of effort into this project.

What is the course of a match?

Two seasons have been finished already and the time was spent to improve the organization of the league and the matches.
Every upcoming match is arranged thoroughly.
Let us take a look at the matches: Up to now we have made 2on2's on ctf4_classic. On some player's comments, who prefer other maps as well, we decided to switch the system on the next season. By the time you might have joined TeeLeague we will have a different map every week (selected in advance) and not necessarily 2 players on each team. You can play with as many players as are present.
For example, clan A has 5 members at the appointed time, but clan B could only mobilize 3, you can begin your 3on3. However, of course it must be at least a 2on2 to be considered as valid match.
A plan when you will have to face which opponent will be published before each season. Every clan has to fight each other a single time - so it is not a K.O. system.
The new season will begin with a week for planning the following one, for this purpose there will be a thread at the corresponding channel for discussion on the date and time with your opponents. A week has always been enough.
In the next week your match must take place and meanwhile you can plan the following week and so on.
Now take a look at a schedule of an exemplary season, it should be easier to understand:

If you finished your match please post the result at the proper forum section and the winner of a match will gain 1 point. Thus in the end of a season one winner is determined, if not a match of final judgement will take place.

Who is doing the organisation?

Back then initiated by //w®a*, this is not a project by //w®a*. Each participating clan must and shall organise its progress!
Unfortunately not every player can give an opinion, but we found a system how each of you can take part:
Your clan will pick a spokesperson, who will gain access to our internal organisation area to participate in every decision. No decision will be made by a single clan, but each clan is can AND should participate in discussions and polls.
The duty of a spokesperson will involve to transfer the information about Teeleague to her or his clan and keep you up to date, so choose a competent member. No need to send your leader, but an interested person willingly to spend some time.
To make appointments for upcoming matches everyone can jump in that is why the associated forum section is public.
Furthermore you can take a look at our offtopic channel and freely open a thread to get rid of your boredom or share some interesting news.

What is the reward for a winner?

As this event is made for eternity, we won’t offer any substantial price - you cannot win a game-server nor a designed webpage or teeworlds skin. But we offer you a golden tea cup, a nicely created graphic as you can behold at our winner site.
With corresponding embed code you can exhibit the cup at your clanpage for example. As this league will grow and as many clans as possible participate, the league will increase its reputation and the cup might represent your skill.
Visitors of your site will notice your achievements and your clan might hire new members easier as well.

How can I support the league?

It is still a long way to perfection, therefore we need your support and ideas. If you are conversant with administration of a bulletin board, own a license of a board software or could provide an in-game server, we would accept this gladly! Be creative and think about it, share your ideas with us.
Suggestions for improvement are an important part of our system, that’s why we have a public thread for your ideas at our board. Think about anything you want to improve, be it concerning the web design, the rules, the user roles or something completely different, and feel free to start a discussion. We will consider every single one of your ideas and try to amend it.

How can our clan become part of the league?

As a matter of principle you can join the competition only at the beginning of a new season, however there are two options:
(1) To the end of a season every spokesperson of a clan can suggest a new team for invitation. After gathering the names we start a vote for two additional clans.
(2) On the other hand you have got the opportunity to apply your clan at our application channel. Please use our template and provide some useful information about your team, the spokespersons will examine and decide about your entry.

Closing words and summary!

As you can see, we are strongly convinced that this league will be a success!
Because the organization will not only be the work of one person or clan, but of each member of the league, each team can take part and contribute to the league, which we, of course, expect you to do! Therefore it is no problem if a clan drops out – the league will continue!
The matches on the changing maps will be held weekly, in order to prevent the seasons of becoming too long so we can play as many seasons as possible. The amount of players is limited by how many members of the clans are present at the date. This takes a lot of pressure of the shoulders of the spokespersons and gives each team a little more free room.
Instead of a fancy prize, the winner of a season gets a cup which he may present on his website to attract possible applicants.
We are continuously trying to improve the system and therefore we need your help! Show us, what we can improve, explain us your ideas and help us with problems that might occur!

Apply for the TeeLeague now and secure yourself place or wait for an invitation by vote!
If there are some questions left, you can always ask in the forum of the league.

We wish you a good time at TeeLeague

- TeeLeague-Team

Restarted reading.

Hopefully you're not aiming for an "epic 5vs5 on ctf4" though

Oh, we have no number of players specified - but there is no need to anticipate the worst

I feel contradiction here. Are you talking about future organization? Actually, what is the problem with including other maps?

Reason 1: You can't luck around constantly and keep calling it "skill".

Reason 2: Any map different than ctf4 requires more skill.

Reson 3: See 1 and 2.

I am glad you start talking about it, you are welcome to discuss about joining us.
To answer your questions, and I notice a misundersdtanding here, please read the following:

to yemDX, it is not restricted to any part of the world in particular, although we accept clans only. So if you want to spread the news about the league feel free to do so! Maybe you can provide some boards where I can post our message, too?

to Jini and Shubi, we know each other good enough to say: let's just skip ctf4_boring! So it has actually changed to unique maps for every single week

do we have to explain a phrase for better understanding?

1 season equals 6 weeks with 5 games?

Which clans are in it now/next season?

Generally you are right, needed weeks are participating clans minus 1.
But right now there are 5 clans and 3 more are invited.
So our upcoming season should be held with 8 groups on 7 weeks.

edit:
To be honest, one more clan has joined the league yet, its TetraHydroCannabinol.

Well, as I told you yesterday in the game, we are unlikely to enter the league mainly due to the fact that we can barely gather four players at a time. There may be other concerns, but the general inactivity is the primary. If other clan members have different thoughts on it, feel free to start a poll in the private section. For the moment I guess you may consider this as an official answer. Thanks for the invitation.

I have to agree, so consider this to be our official statement. We're barely active and far from being able to organize matches, although we're of course generally interested and might come back to this at some point in the future

tl,dr: +1
